Steve Alan 2012 Fall Collection

New York designer, Steven Alan, helped kick off New York’s Fashion Week yesterday with collection inspired by thirties-era aesthetics and the famed Mexican muralist, Diego Rivera. Grounded in classic American roots, the once retailer turned designer presented a wide array of casual to formal clothing with an emphasis on soft tailoring and deep tonal greys. The collection featured a variety of interesting fabrics from moleskin to herringbone tweed, as well as a strong presence of stripe patterns reminiscent of the traditional Mexican blankets. Representing New York casual to the fullest, Steven Alan showcased a wonderfully curated collection of expertly tailored, ready-to-wear clothing.
