WANT Les Essentiels de la Vie - Fall / Winter 2012 Collection

The Autumn/Winter collection from luxury luggage and travel accessories brand WANT Les Essentiels de la Vie brings with it duality, versatility and adaptability. Driven by the need for permanence in an ever-evolving environment, the new collection offers a seamlessness of narrative from past collections. Perennial pieces are refined and reimagined and the key characteristics of the brand have been deconstructed to create a new line of accessories including slippers, bracelets and gloves. Inspired by the longevity, functionality, mobility and art of midcentury design and architecture, WANT Les Essentiels de la Vie have created a collection that reflects these characteristics and enables us to influence our environment and our identity.

Rusty Mill makes more than just jeans and has also produced a draw string duffle out of natural un-dyed denim. The bag has a burlap webbing handle and adjustable shoulder straps which makes it a great weekend bag option or perfectly proportioned for a day at the beach. And if you’re into brand loyalty, Rusty Mill Denim Co. also makes an indigo denim beach or picnic blanket, exclusively for Olaf’s, that can complete your denim-sponsored day in the sand. Superior Labor - Engineer’s Bag

We’ve always enjoyed the contributions of The Superior Labor to the tool bag movement. This Khaki version of their Engineer Bag is no exception. The Japanese company make a range of accessories but their carriers remain the star of the show. The large natural leather pocket on the front makes this one, matching handle and a detachable cross body strap mean it can be thrown over your shoulder for hands-free moments. The painted base finishes it off perfectly, nice one The Superior Labor. Find it at Slow down Joe.

Hammarhead Day Pack

The Hammarhead Day Pack resulted from our search for a minimal bag suitable for riding and capable of holding the tools of modern life.

Constructed from waterproof waxed cotton, black  leather and parachute hardware,  the backpack features a roll top enclosure and the interior sleeves for a 15” laptop, iPad, and Kindle. The Hammarhead Day Pack is perfect for the daily commute or weekend ride.

Eayrslee Carry Goods

We were sent some bags to review and upon viewing i was highly attracted specifically to the Jones Duffel. We wanted to show the bag in a travel-like fashion. It makes a great carry on when traveling via plane. The interior of the bag features a laptop slot. This is a mix of canvas-like material and leather. The inside is lined with almost a navy silk. We also featured and shot the Antique tan Nicholson Bag. This is an all leather briefcase which can be carried like an every-day briefcase but it can also be used as a backpack which in my opinion, if you’re on foot a lot, this comes in handy. John Chapman ‘Flyfisher’ Bag

Straight out of Carlise, England comes John Chapman and his Spring 2012 ‘Flyfisher’ bag, a shoulder slinger that mixes classic aesthetics with handmade quality. Canvas, tweed, leather and brass combine to create this compact bag with a very military feel, staying true to traditional functionality that any decent bag should have. Although it seems built for mining streams for fish gold, this versatile bag fits in just as well in the blacktop jungle.

ACNE - Everest Tan S/S 2012 Bag

Acne Everest is a canvas shoulder bag with fixed leather straps at the sides and plenty of sporty details.
