On the last day of March, Eric and I traveled to unfamiliar territory to meet with Justin Bridges (I honestly can’t remember the last time I had been above 59th street). The weather was frigid and the rain pelted our faces but Justin’s cool demeanor and laid back style made us feel more like we were just hanging with the fellas at an old friend’s apartment. “Our Fall 2012 collection was inspired by the first Alpine explorers, men whose sportswear still maintained a sartorial sense of style. Further inspiration came from English dandies like George “Beau” Brummel and Fitzwilliam Darcy’s Edwardian style of dressing. I also looked back at my days at a New England all-boys prep school where coats and ties were the norm. This collection marks a new beginning for our line as we venture from the world of accessories to ready-to-wear, dressing our man from head to toe. We’re featuring double pocketed blazers made from British wool, finely tailored vests and selvedge denim jeans that are easily dressed up or down. Ernest Alexander - The Nylon Collection
I had the opportunity to stop into E.A.’s Studio a few weeks back and they showed me their new collection that was just released. The manufacturer that happens to make these also make the nylon bags used by the U.S. Military so the quality and durability is going to be there. This collection is actually quite attractive in a way that its very hybrid, it looks great in street wear and it can also be carried around in suit and still look good (as seen above). These are definitely worth checking out.
Ernest Alexander had sent me their Fall / Winter lookbook. I became a big fan when i had saw some of the photos of how the products were depicted, the nity grity americana-esque, hard working “man products”. Thats the way things should be sometimes.
