“Designers Sam Shipley and Jeff Halmos started their new season with the question, “If the S&H guy spent a winter day at home alone, what would he do with his time?” The designers envision this day as comfortable, creative, productive, unguarded, and quirky. As a result, these feelings of freedom, individuality and protection from the cold are the major themes explored in their Fall 2011 read-to-wear menswear collection.”

Shipley & Halmos is a fashion label and creative design firm, founded by friends Sam Shipley and Jeff Halmos. The NYC-based brand produces everything from men’s and women’s clothing, accessories, furniture, and art materials. This video piece gives a glimpse into the designers’ aesthetic vision, creative process, and the dynamics between the longtime friends turned successful business partners.
